Our Council Bluffs, Iowa, office is conveniently located off Interstate 80 at the Madison Avenue exit. Our building is brand new. You will love our new office as much as we love working there! Our Omaha, Nebraska, office is conveniently located off Interstate 680 at the Irvington exit. We are located next door to Legends.

Matthew Taylor, O.D.

Council Bluffs, IA location & Omaha, NE location

Dr. Matt Taylor is an eye doctor in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Omaha, Nebraska. He grew up in Brandon, SD, and attended the University of Nebraska Omaha. He graduated from Southern College of Optometry in 2010.

Prior to graduation, Dr. Taylor completed his training at Wolfe Eye Clinic in West Des Moines, IA, and The Eye Clinic at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Dr. Taylor received extensive training in contact lenses and is also experienced and trained in the latest laser corrective procedures (LASIK and PRK).

Dr. Taylor also received training at Wolfe Eye Clinic in Iowa in the management of dry eye, cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration as well as systemic conditions that affect eye health such as diabetes and high blood pressure.

He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Iowa Optometric Association, and Kiwanis. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, golfing, and taking in local sporting events.

Mindy Dickinson, O.D.

Council Bluffs, IA location & Omaha, NE location

Dr. Mindy Dickinson is a proud Iowa native with a deep-rooted love for connecting with people. Over the past 20 years, she has had the privilege of building lasting relationships while serving the Council Bluffs and Omaha communities with dedicated eye care.

Her educational journey began at the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!), where she earned her undergraduate degree before completing her Doctor of Optometry degree at Indiana University. She then had the invaluable opportunity to train at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, followed by a residency focused on ocular disease at the Kansas City VA Medical Center.

Dr. Dickinson is passionate about providing comprehensive eye care for all ages, from children to older adults. Whether it’s a routine eye exam or specialized care for conditions like diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, or dry eyes, her goal is to offer personalized care tailored to each patient’s needs. She is licensed in both Iowa and Nebraska, so you’ll find her in both the Council Bluffs and Omaha locations.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Dickinson loves spending time with her husband, their two daughters, and their labradoodle. They’re a close-knit family that enjoys cooking together, hosting friends for meals, playing games, and spending time on the water. They’re also enthusiastic sports fans, always ready to cheer on the Hawkeyes and the Indiana Fever!
